Uromastyx flavifasciata lives in the western Sahara south of the 28th north latitude, in Mauritania and in southwest Algeria.

As the name suggests, they are most widely distributed in the North African country of Morocco, with additional populations existing in adjacent portions of Tunisia, Algeria, Western Sahara and northern Libya.
